About
A space for understanding
I'm Shiara Arauzo, a software engineer and designer who spends most of her free time reading about philosophy, psychology and physics. Neuroscience fascinates me because it offers a lens for understanding myself better.
I write as a form of introspection. The act of putting thoughts into words forces a clarity that thinking alone doesn't achieve. I read obsessively, reflect constantly, and use writing to make sense of what I find.
Why this exists
This is a space for the things I learn that have nothing to do with code or design. The behavioral patterns, the emotional processes, the scientific research that helps me understand why we think and act the way we do.
In Essays, I explore ideas from neuroscience, psychology, and physics, connecting research to lived experience. These are the questions I keep returning to: How do we change? Why do we break down? What makes us resilient?
In Methods, I'll share the research practices that work for me: how I read scientific papers, take notes and synthesize information. Not academic methodology, but practical approaches for anyone curious about learning deeply.
